Meet Nick Avallone, a 20-year-old student from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
And this is the lovely woman who birthed him from her loins, his mother, Eleanor.

Nick came home from university to spend the summer with his mom. Being an obedient son, he would comply with her requests to get her a snack before she went to sleep. But by the time he got to her room to give them to her, she’d be fast asleep. This happened every single night, and the best part is, Nick documented the entire thing to prove it.
Finding it endearing but also slightly ridiculous at the same time, Nick decided to take pictures and “mom-shame” her.
He made a sign and posted it to his Tumblr and Instagram. His reasoning? His mom fell asleep “consistently enough that I had to make a post.”
“I adore my mom beyond words but I have to mom-shame her for always doing this to me,” he wrote.
Apparently his mom’s favorite nightly snack to request is popcorn.

Nick said that when he told his mom that she always falls asleep, she laughed and said, “I know, I know.”
The post got a lot of people’s attention online, because not only was it so darn funny, a lot of people also identified with this scenario.
As the post gained more likes and shares, Nick eventually had to tell her and showed her the photos. “I thought it was funny and that it would make other people laugh,” he reasoned.
Eleanor was really cool about it all. “She thought it was funny,” he said.
