This Grandmother Hugging A Photo Of Her Late Husband Is The Saddest Thing You’ll See Today

Alicia Salas, a teenager from Texas, recently tweeted a photo of her grandmother, 85-year-old Josie Reza, that made the entire Internet explode in tears.

During grandma Josie’s recent birthday, her family threw her a special party “considering it was a milestone for her,” Salas said.

Salas’ family surprised their grandmother with a mariachi band… which also happened to be the last memory she shared with her late husband before he passed away.

“She enjoyed the music with my grandfather,” Salas said. “She misses him very much every day… we all miss him.”

While the band was performing “Las Mañanitas,” a song very special to the old couple, grandma Josie was seen holding a photo of her husband and clutching it to her heart.

Salas shared the heartbreaking moment  on Twitter, and gave everyone the feels.

People were so moved by this grandmother’s enduring love that the photos quickly went viral. Salas was flooded with comments and retweets, some of people actually crying.

She shared a video of her grandmother listening to the band intently.

“It was a bittersweet moment,” Salas said. However, she added it was a day “I think everyone, especially my grandma, will remember.”
