Nieves is almost 10-years-old, and has been with Alex’s family since she was 8 weeks old.

Fun fact: “Nieve” means “snow” in Spanish.
Alex said that their dad always takes Nieves home from the groomer, but this time their dad made one tiny mistake. And by tiny, we mean HUGE.
Their dad brought home the wrong dog.

Apparently, there were two Maltese dogs that had to be picked up from the groomers at the same time. Predictably, the dog their dad brought home was in fact, not Nieves.
“According to him it was because the dog acted normal and followed him to the car and even jumped in as soon as he opened the door,” Alex said. His dad even thought they were pulling his leg until his brother said the same thing.
That was when their dad admitted he felt something was off at first. “My brother and I died of laughter and asked why he would take the dog home if he thought something was off. He said, ‘I thought I was getting old and my eyes were betraying me,'” Alex added.
“We told him he has to go back to return her, and he said, ‘Yeah, I have to fix this before mom gets home.'”

When they told their mom, she found the entire thing very funny.
When Alex’s dad went back to the groomer, he sent a picture to the family’s group chat to make sure he picked up the right dog this time.

The look of betrayal Nieve gave their dad is priceless.
