A video taken of a woman getting run over by a car after she slips while crossing the road in high heels further proves that stilettos should come with an instruction manual.
The shocking incident, which was caught by a security camera in the city of Nogales in Mexico, shows Minerva F.S. darting between cars across three lanes of traffic.
The 22-year-old appears to be distracted as she talks to someone on the phone, and doesn’t look before dashing through the third lane of traffic, where she steps in the path of a speeding vehicle.

She might have saved herself from getting run over, if not for her high heels, which slipped as she attempted to stop in her tracks before colliding with the vehicle.

What followed was a horrific scene: the victim’s legs buckled under the car’s front wheel, and her limp body was dragged several meters along the tarmac before the car finally stopped.

Onlookers and passers-by rushed to her side. The driver of the vehicle, revealed in local media as Jaime, attempted to reverse on her body.

She was rushed to a local hospital by the Red Cross, and suffered from fractures to her left knee and elbow, wounds on her right hand, and bruising to her body.
Despite her injuries, she appears to be in a stable condition.
It was revealed in a report by the local media that Minerva was run over only 164 feet (50 metres) from a pedestrian crossing.
