Dashcam footage taken from the police cruiser of a deputy from Florida, Jeremie Nix, shows him saving the life of an infant who became unresponsive inside his mom’s car.
Around 5:30pm on Wednesday, the off-duty deputy saw a white sedan pulled over by the side of the road with its flasher lights on.

A clearly distressed Nechole Crowell flagged down Deputy Nix as he neared the scene. She then ran out of her car with her 3-month-old.
Sensing the urgency of the situation, Deputy Nix immediately took the child from the mother’s arms, knelt on the ground, and administered CPR.

Baby Kingston still wasn’t responding, so the quick-thinking Deputy rushed the infant back into his vehicle and took him to the nearest hospital, the Ocala Regional Medical Center. Nechole and her female companion followed behind.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office shared the incredible video on social media, along with updates on baby Kingston’s condition.
“Deputy Nix delivered the child to medical personnel, who then began treating the child. We are happy to report that Baby Kingston is doing very well and doctors say he will make a full recovery!!,” the department’s YouTube page said.

“Doctors also said that because of K9 Deputy Nix’s actions, Baby Kingston is alive today. We are tremendously proud of Deputy Nix and we can already see that he and Baby Kingston will have a deep connection that will last a lifetime!!”
A grateful Nechole posted about the incident on Facebook, commending the Deputy for his heroic actions.

“Let me just say that yesterday GOD showed me just how real he was. My son KING was barely breathing, & fighting for his life. My sister & I noticed an officer sitting at a red light & we got his attention,” she posted.
“With his fast thinking HE & GOD saved my son…. after his shift he and his beautiful wife came to shands just to see him again. His word to me was ‘Don’t you worry, i will not leave until i help save your son!,”’ she wrote.

The motorist told Deputy Nix that her 3-month old baby boy named Kingston was completely unresponsive and that she needed help. Deputy Nix turned his patrol car around and pulled off the side of the road to assist with the medical emergency. After performing several life-saving measures on the child and not seeing any improvement, Deputy Nix decided to put the child in his own patrol car and rush him to Ocala Regional Medical Center. Deputy Nix delivered the child to medical personnel, who then began treating the child. We are happy to report that Baby Kingston is doing very well and doctors say he will make a full recovery!!
