Held at The Chapel Royal at Saint James’ Palace in London, the tiny prince’s christening was attended by most of the Royals—close family and godparents—except for one.

Louis’s great-grandmother, The Queen, was noticeably absent.
Buckingham Palace previously noted that the decision for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh not to attend was ‘mutually agreed upon some time ago’.

The newlyweds, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were also in attendance for the private afternoon ceremony last Monday.

The photos released by the Palace were taken by Matt Holyoak at Clarence House after the christening service.
Holyoak has had former experience photographing the Royal family, including taking portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip for their 70th wedding anniversary last year.
